An Evening With Korie ( The Event )

An Evening With Korie started with a Red Carpet by 6pm at ground floor of G51 Club ( Rooftop Bar ) Akerele Road, Surulere. 

Many anticipated how the event would turn out since it was its first. The event was covered by TVC Entertainment, Rave TV and Sound City. Friends and fans graced the red carpet for paparazzi, interviews and in anticipation of Korie's performance. 

After the hour struck, while many are already seated enjoying the cool of the night at the rooftop, Korie walked in as paparazzi stole the show, with series of interviews following. 

Korie opened the show with a performance of "perfect" by Edsheeran which relaxed her audience, and set the room for the performance of her extended playlist (Fear, My Love Will Find You, Foe, Change Me and Ife - meaning love etc). It wasn't long her audience were thrilled with her voice, the way she strummed her acoustic guitar, the story behind her music, her style of music, and the fact that her music is one of a kind you don't come by easily in the heart of Nigeria music industry. Not only did the music thrilled them, but her story did as much.

The turnout was beyond capacity, as few others had to stand up and watched her perform.

The show ended with a very satisfied audience as they cheer her up and exchanged pleasantries with her.  Many are in anticipation for the next "Evening with Korie" edition. And your guess is as good as mine, it will be lit than the first edition. Watch out!

An Evening With Korie

It is an evening of Music / Art / Love under a cozy atmosphere, where she can serenade her audience with her lovely voice and string's of her guitar . Her fan's will also have the opportunity to meet with her one on one , interact and ask questions, entry is free. Korie will also be giving out exclusive songs on some of the evening . 

The event will be coming up every last Sunday of the month, 7pm to 10pm at Club G51( Rooftop Bar ) , 51, Akerelere Road surulere, Lagos . Nigeria.

The first edition, which is on the 23rd of February 2020 will involve Red Carpet and Special Guest to officially lunch the show, also press men will be on ground to do what they know how to do best. Don't be left out.

Ladies Sunday

Kindness Okorie better known by the stage name, korie is a Nigerian singer born on the. 13th of June, 1998. She is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, performing and recording artist. Korie was born in Lagos and she lives in Lagos, Nigeria ( Africa ). Music to korie is Life, with music she can give to people more than she can ordinarily. With music, she can give butterflies to the soul, wings to the mind, flight to the imaginations and life to everything.

Korie will be performing on the 17th of November 2019, 8am at Solomons porch a young professional church of the Redeem Christian Church. Korie will be performing one of her favourite track from her EP ' fear ', fear is a song she wrote on how to educate and encourage the younger generation of not giving up in what ever they are doing or going through in life, because life will throw a lots of challenges at them but they just have to ' keep moving don't stop '  does are word's from the song.

The Sunday service is a program set aside for ladies to take charge. The ladies of the church Solomons Porch tagged the program " Are Ladies Really From Venues " . It gonna be a Sunday like no other, you don't want to miss this, because they also have some other wonderful ladies coming in to minister and a well packed agenda. 

The Story Behind The EP

Korie, an upcoming Nigeria Afro Soul Fusion artist, just drop her debut EP titled “This is Korie” with a compilation of five songs namely; Fear, Foe, My Love Will Find You, Change Me and  Ife ( love ). The sensational songstress talked about the inspiration behind each of those songs and the message she has in them for her audience.

The first track titled “Fear” is an inspirational song that encourages one to keep moving forward despite all odds and fears, fighting your challenges in the appropriate way, with the best version of yourself in view. This is the kind of music you would like to listen or sing to yourself when you want to encourage yourself, a friend or you want to take that big risk. 

The second track titled “Foe” is about an enemy, who acts like a friend in disguise, someone you have good intentions for… But goes behind you, spreading hatred, dislikes or discord in people who have good intentions for/about you.

The third track titled “My Love Will Find You” is basically about what you are passionate about. It could be music, drama, dance, art, technology or whatever it is for you. Personally, it is my love for music! Here, I talk about my pursuit for music as the love a Romeo (a man) has for a Juliet (a woman), with the promise that my love will find my Juliet wherever she is, or where she would lead me to, regardless. And that’s music for me…

The fourth track titled “Change Me”, talks about my resolution to change for the better; no matter how far I am from my ideal personality. I don’t want to be the same person people knew me to be. Like the saying, ‘The journey of a thousand miles starts with a step.’ Therefore, I use this song to invite friends (new or old), families and acquaintances, whosoever that wants a change, to join me in the journey to become a better version of ourselves. I want to roll with friends that are planning on being better. So let’s sing this song together.

The fifth track which is a bonus track is titled “Ife”. This song is about a person’s love for someone that is not accepting or recognizing the love….Though, as difficult it is to accept the truth to move on, remember that for every love stories, there is seldom one that would turn out differently and unexpectedly, and maybe this one could be it… Maybe a little more persistent would make him/her reciprocate back. You never can tell! Enjoy the song!
